The Green Jobs Boom Is Happening in Both the UK and US — Even in a Slowing Economy
🇬🇧 UK:
Net zero economy grew 10% in 2024 to £83.1 billion GVA, supporting 951,000 jobs with average pay of £43k.
Every £1 in the sector generates £1.89 in the wider economy.
Scotland’s net zero economy up 20% since 2022, now 4.9% of GVA.

$422 billion in clean energy investments since the IRA launched have created 406,000+ jobs.
Manufacturing incentives alone: 62,700 active jobs + 103,100 in development.
Clean energy hiring growing nearly 2× faster than overall US employment.
