Job Description:

·       The individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy that enables the firm to fully capture current and future client demands in relation to Sustainable Investment and ESG.   This role will be central to raising their business profile.  

·       The individual will report to the Global Head of Sustainable Investment and have a deep understanding of the evolution of sustainable investment & ESG, the competitive and regulatory landscape and differences in market appetite across client types, and differences in philosophy and process for a variety of sustainable investment focused strategies. 

                 Key points:

·       Establish, retain, and grow the asset management relationships with clients looking for Sustainable Investment and Climate focused solutions.

·       Develop a broad and deep understanding of top clients’ needs and challenges 

·       Working with the global sales teams to identify and capture ESG trends and investment opportunities across their global marketplace to inform client solutions and marketing strategy.

·       Build solid working relationships across internal teams and business functions including technology, marketing, risk, sales, and relationship management teams.

·       Lead meetings with top tier clients to discuss ESG, Sustainable Investment and Climate requirements with a view to developing strategic partnerships with clients looking for bespoke investment solutions.

 

Minimum Requirements:

·       The position requires an individual with a passion for sustainable investing with demonstrable knowledge of how ESG relates to investment processes across a wide spectrum of asset classes and investment styles.

·       At least ten years of professional experience at an investment consultant, asset manager, asset owner, or relevant experience from another investment management, relationship management or sales & marketing related role.

·       Excellent and proven project management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with different internal stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for clients.

·       Self-motivated, entrepreneurial individual with the ambition to succeed in and work collaboratively in an environment that demands constant multi-tasking and liaison across regional offices, investment platforms and time-zones.

·       Pro-active attitude, team player with an approach to work that can help the team identify opportunities to do things better/differently to optimize the team’s success.

·       Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels and represent the firm with key clients.

·       Accountability and willingness to take initiative and continuously improve output.

·       Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to use/develop internal reporting templates and software.
